Samsung Universal Gingerbread Root & Unroot 2.3.3 to 2.3.7 [fastest way to root GB]

Samsung devices running Android 2.3.3 to 2.3.7 that couldn’t be rooted using the SuperOneClick tool can finally gain root access. Requirements

• A Samsung device running stock Android 2.3.3 to 2.3.7 Gingerbread
• Make sure to create a backup of all the important data on your phone. You can read our guides on how to backup your data locally and how to backup your data to the cloud.
• Enable Unknown Sources on your phone. You can do this through Settings > Applications > Unknown Sources.
• Enable USB Debugging. You can do this through Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
• Universal Gingerbread Root tool (universal_gb_root_v17.zip, size: 1.07 MB)

Instructions

1. Download the Universal Gingerbread Root tool to your computer.
2. Copy the Universal Gingerbread Root tool to the root of your phone’s SD card.
3. Boot into Android Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up, Power, and Home buttons simultaneously until the recovery menu appears.
4. Select Apply Update from SD Card and select the Universal Gingerbread Root tool ZIP file.
5. Once installation has been completed, tap Reboot System Now.

Congratulations! You’ve now rooted your Samsung device. You can now enjoy the benefits of root, such as improving your device’s performance, altering system files, and installing applications to your SD Card.
